The Principle of Equivalence
"The fact is that different languages are not just equivalent means of defining and communicating the same ideas and concepts. In many respects, they reflect different thought processes, institutional frameworks, and underlying values (Harding, 1996; Lisle, 1985)" (Jowell, 1998).
